Following an impeccable festival debut in 2025, MARRØN returns to Dekmantel after dark. For the co-founder and resident of Amsterdam’s Eerste Communie, music is a vehicle — a container for collective feeling and a pathway to individual liberation. His moniker pays homage to the Maroons, communities of formerly enslaved Africans who defied oppression and forged lives of freedom in the forests of Suriname. Rooted in this heritage, MARRØN has developed a singular vision of hard, hypnotic techno, propelled by fast rhythms, relentless momentum, and an unwavering sense of purpose.
