From otherworldly techno to high-speed dancehall and deconstructed global rhythms, Phillip Jondo’s assemblage of sound can never be fully anticipated. A resident of Düsseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs and NTS Radio, Jondo is a left-of-left-field explorer whose sets move and shake as much as they challenge. Bringing home his infinite array of findings while connecting dissonant dots, Jondo co-founded the label SPA in 2018. Most recently he’s been focusing on studio work as well as crafting grimy club meditations alongside DJ Plead and composer/double-bass player Maxwell Sterling.
