Dekmantel mainstay Suze Ijó is not just bringing her fiery DJ skills and selections to the festival this year; she’s also curated the complete line-up of our Connects stage for Sunday August 6th. On this special occasion, Suze will go B2B with none other than “feelings-based DJ” Gayance. In her sets, Gayance – whose alias is derived from the Haitian creole word for joyfulness – journeys through Black history, collecting vinyl from Afro-Latinx jazz, the Caribbean, West-Africa and electronic music from both sides of the Atlantic. Much like Suze, she shares these infectious treasures with a crowd while subtly shaping a range of shifting dance-floor moods.
