Bogdan Raczynski – life motto: “rave till you cry” – is an electronic music wizard. Since the 90s, the composer/producer has blended his perfectly unhinged jungle and tekno beats with the sounds of his Polish heritage, worked with Björk and Autechre, sound-tracked video games, and released a dozen records. Raczynski is often associated with the heyday of IDM, and known for the candid way he shares his music-making process. In 2022, Planet MU released the artist’s first album of new music in 15 years. ‘ADDLE’ sees Raczynski in a more melodic place of peace, whilst also bittersweet and tinged with melancholy. “Calm is great. You need to take a breather in the eye of the storm now and then. But the real growth happens in turbulence, when your feelings oscillate in and out of sync.”
