Surgeon Live

In 2014 Surgeon delivered a Dekmantel live set that has become legendary. Behind a sea of tangled wires and robust hardware, he unleashed an hour of head-wrecking, modular melodies, etching his name into the festival's history. Now, 10 years later, we've invited the man, the myth, the legend, back to recreate the magic. Surgeon is celebrated for his singular approach to techno, synthesising ferociously heavy tunes with a tongue-in-cheek attitude and a bumping broken groove. In 2023, Tresor dropped 'Crash Recoil' – his first LP since 2018 – which draws inspiration from Coil, King Tubby, Detroit techno, The Cure and his three decades of DJing. Featuring eight MIDI-sequenced, analogue-reconfigured tracks, the album captures the essence of his extraordinary live performances which demand to be experienced in the flesh.
