It’s been a while since Lorenzo Senni graced the Dekmantel Festival line-up. Last with us 2017, the Italian master of pointillistic trance returns with a live show that’ll surely be as club-ready as investigative and artful—fully in line with his renowned oeuvre to date. Previously describing his approach to production as ‘ripping the spinal cord out of trance and dangling it in front of your eyes’, Senni reconstructs time-tried dance elements such as repetition and isolation, consistently exploring the idea of a buildup to make more introspective pieces that preserve but also play with emotional tension. Next to releasing on imprints like Warp and Boomkat, Senni’s own label Presto!? is home to heavyweights like DJ Stingray, Gabber Eleganza, Canva6 and Mechatok.
