Referring to his style as 'naive computer jazz', Jameszoo's music is anything but simple-minded. Peppered with sonic and rhythmic incongruities, the Dutch composer delivers an ever-expanding take on the modern evolution of jazz, stylising the genre into warm, wonderful, and weird records, released most prominently on Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label. Emerging from the small town of Den Bosch in the late 2000s and initially operating as a DJ, Jameszoo carries forward his skills as a vinyl digger, sampling elements of prog and kraut rock, electronic experiments, and beat oddities into his improvisational, playful sound.
