Olf van Elden set foot in Amsterdam’s club scene at an early age and was drawn into electronic music by working at the legendary Rush Hour store. Now a prolific producer, DJ, label boss and music curator, his work is always about unearthing new sounds that connect the past with the future. A special knack for strange synths and weirdly beautiful drums—which he loves to alter, distort and space out—runs through Interstellar Funk’s oeuvre like a red, rhythmic thread. Last year, the artist debuted his impressive live show on the opening night of Dekmantel Festival. This summer, he’s back for a forest set that will surely have you touching the cosmos.
