DJ Marcelle

DJ Marcelle, aka Another Nice Mess, doesn't adhere to the rules of any game. She is as much a musician as a DJ, purposefully placing different styles of music in unique contexts and ever playing with roles and expectations. Inspired by avant-garde art movements, absurdism, dub, post-punk, and the latest developments in dance music, Marcelle is renowned for her three-turntable mixing style, through which she artfully juggles a collection of over 20,000 records. When she gets in the booth, expect any possible sound—from free jazz, field recordings and techno to Afrobeat and reggae—that might surprise or even shock you. The key here is freedom and adventure; you just have to open up your mind and heart.
