Detroit in Effect Live

An extremely rare affair (and a Dekmantel first!) a live Detroit in Effect set should be at the top of everyone’s bucket list. A contemporary of Underground Resistance and Drexciya, Tameko J. Williams has perhaps not received as much attention as these leading luminaries, yet deserves all of the spotlight. Released in 1997, his iconic track 'R U Married' is a raw and infectious electro masterpiece that pulsates with funky basslines, old-school beats, and a playful, catchy energy that defined the era's sound. Twenty-six years on, D.I.E's lost none of his flair, serving up a signature menu of classicist electro and acid, paying homage to the city that’s largely credited as the birthplace of techno.
